Working with Somerset House and the Future Cities Catapult, we defined the concept and design for an interactive installation at the heart of the Big Bang Data exhibition, explaining applications of urban data modelling and the knock on effect of seemingly simple choices in city planning.

Working with Somerset House and the Future Cities Catapult, we defined the concept and design for an interactive installation at the heart of the Big Bang Data exhibition, explaining applications of urban data modelling and the knock on effect of seemingly simple choices in city planning.

Explaining how we can meet these targets was the central focus of Shell’s 'Make the Future' event in 2018 and formed our brief for the design and build of the Energy Future exhibit that greeted visitors on arrival.

The experience explained the applications of urban data modelling and the knock on effect of seemingly simple choices in city planning.

This highly complex topic was simplified into a playful interactive control station. A quick fire succession of questions polled visitors on how they would choose to manage London in the face of a variety of challenges. The choices they made were forecast using real data to understand the impact certain decisions carried within planning a city's future.
